Newark is looking for a highly competent and motivated Human Resources Business Partner for our Contact Center. The primary purpose of this position is to provide HR expertise and direction to effectively act as a strategic business partner to executive and line management by solving business people problems through HR tailored based solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day to day direction and guidance to ensure the most effective utilization of people resources support the business unit objectives are achieved.
- Participate in the development of short and long term business plans; works on HR design and development to support the business plans.
- Focuses on strategic HR planning, advice and consultative services; focuses away from routine administrative personnel services; focuses on a thorough understanding of the business being served.
- Assist employees in complaint resolution and work-related problems by mediating the conflict, directly or indirectly. Pushes customer to confront difficult issues by constructive dialogue.
- Provide guidance on interpreting HR policies in a fair and consistent manner across the organization.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of progressive generalist HR experience in a profit for business organization. Experience in a non-union setting is desirable.
- Requires a Bachelors Degree in business or HR. Master Degree and/or HR Certification is highly desirable.
- Throughout knowledge of labor laws, including EEO, wage/hour, staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, unemployment and union avoidance.
- Demonstrated client/customer, consultative leadership approach.
