Description
We are an 75 year old, Chicago-based jewelry distributor. We supply precious stones and jewelry components to our wholesale and retail customers in both domestic and international markets. Our reputation for design and new product development means our customers expect only the best in product and service. We utilize cutting-edge techniques to create the highest quality and most distinctive products in the industry, while our sales and customer service teams work together to ensure loyalty and satisfaction from every client, large and small.
Currently, we are seeking an organized, forward-thinking Customer Service professional to join our team. Primary responsibilities include in-bound requests for orders, stock availability, lead times and return authorizations from customers. Duties include price quotes, order entry, procuring items from vendors, and following up order information to customers. Customer Service Representatives coordinate with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers.
You will also be key to generating new sales by up selling to inbound customer calls. Must be comfortable with being proactive and taking the extra step in providing excellent customer service. Customer Service Representatives will be expected to meet department and company goals. Ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sales-minded and proactive thinking

Excellent problem solving skills
Strong follow-up skills
Call center experience in a B2B or retail office environment
Because we are seeking an individual with
long-term growth potential
we are taking a temporary-to-hire approach. During the temporary phase (60 to 90 days) job pays $11 per hour. Once hired, job will pay $12 to $14 per hour, benefits included. If you have to qualities and experience we seek, please send us your resume
