Description

Responsibilities:

  • Administer company policies in a fair and consistent manner
  • Conduct and document workplace investigations
  • Investigate associate situations and make appropriate recommendations
  • Ensure fairness and consistency with all disciplinary actions
  • Proactively resolve associate issues
  • Interpret and support company policies
  • Provide customer service to all associates
  • Participate in or lead project activity

 

Daily Tasks:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Support, communicate and enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Conduct workplace investigations
  • Administer disciplinary actions
  • Use computer and systems to compile, organize and report data
  • Interact in a production environment in resolving problems, concerns, and issues
  • Support rotational off shift coverage (early and late shift)
Requirements

Experience:

  • 7+ years Employee (Labor) Relations within a manufacturing environment

 

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated good judgment and decision making capability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Conflict management skills
  • Strong level of self-control in difficult and demanding situations
  • Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to address complex issues with objectivity
  • Strong project and planning skills
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in all work functions
  • Effective mediation and intervention skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking and flexibility in a fast-paced environment

 

Desired Skills:

  • Broad technical knowledge in HR issues, policies, and trends
  • Experienced in PeopleSoft, MS Access and Visio
  • PHR certification

 

Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Employee / Labor Relations within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws (employment, labor and civil rights)
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques

·        Project management knowledge

 

Degree:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related combination of education and experience
