Description We are currently seeking a Bilingual/Spanish Social Worker for our Bakersfield office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Will provide direct social services to the foster child, foster parents and the natural family.
  • Recruits and trains foster parents, collaborates with County Social Workers and provides supportive services to the placed child and foster family. These services include supervision and training of foster families, participation in the foster child's academic program, client treatment plans, development/coordination of medical and psychological services and case management services for the placed child.

Requirements
  • Must have a Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Marriage & Family Therapy, Child Psychology, or other Community Care Licensing approved field of study.
  • Bilingual/Spanish required and Foster Family Agency experience is preferred.

    The Social Worker must also be available by cell phone to ChildNet Management and foster families 24 hours a day, five days a week and some weekends.

    All employees must pass an employment TB, drug and physical exam. Dept. of Justice/FBI/Child Abuse Index Search clearance must be on file prior to the first day of work. To meet the insurance underwriting requirements of this agency, employees must maintain a good driving record and keep a current copy of their auto insurance on file in Human Resources.
