Description Our government contracting division is seeking a professional to work for our client as a staff member of a Business Development Team within the client’s organization.

You will:
  • Identify military business opportunities from assigned federal buying offices worldwide and/or within assigned industry sectors.
  • Using the client’s database of businesses in North Carolina, source identified opportunities to businesses statewide.
  • Provide technical assistance to help businesses understand federal solicitations and to review company proposals and quotes in response to solicitations.
  • Assist businesses to pre-position and team to compete for identified future opportunities. Identify, recruit and assist businesses within an assigned geographic area of the state to participate in military business.
  • Working with Chambers of Commerce, economic developers and other business organizations, develop, schedule, market and provide training to businesses on federal contracting practices and procedures.

Candidate can be located either in Northeastern NC or Northwestern NC.

Requirements

Minimum requirements: Combination of education or experience equivalent to three (3) years in business administration and/or military procurement. Working knowledge of military procurement systems, practices and procedures. Excellent writing skills and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database and internet research systems.

Preferred: A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business administration or related field. Work experience as a government contracting official or as a business development and/or proposal development staff member for a company engaged in government contracting. Excellent word processing, spreadsheet, data base management and internet research skills.
