HAWAII SALES MANAGER The primary responsibilities of a Hawaii Sales Manager for American Hotel Register Company are to train, mentor and develop territory managers in their region, monitor their performance to expectation, assist in developing regional accounts by supporting monthly ride along activity, help determine products to be sold in Hawaii, and to provide solutions. Hawaii Sales Managers will continue to establish and maintain business relationships with key customers in their region and work to maintain a high visibility for American Hotel Register. Position requires the ability to develop relationships with a diverse group of client personnel including GM’s, Operation Managers, Housekeeping Managers, Financial Managers, 3PL Managers, Vendors, as well as the Territory Managers and inside team.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, or hospitality preferred
3-5 years of proven success as a Hawaiian Sales Manager where you have managed 2-5 outside sales representatives
Hospitality sales experience a plus, distribution experience a must
Excellent computer skills - particularly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint - and working knowledge of web-based systems
Excellent professional customer service, verbal and written communication with solid presentation skills
Strong business acumen is required; average or better ROI, margin, gross profit knowledge a must
Analytical ability to define problems: collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Demonstrated success in qualifying sales opportunities, identifying key buying influencers and decision makers, and closing deals
Will call upon key customers, making overnight and day trips as needed, visiting 20-40 accounts per month
Ability to travel 40% to various islands via small plane, make joint customer calls within short notice and conduct property visits daily
Must be able to attend our 2 week New Associate training, located at our corporate headquarters in Vernon Hills, IL. Will also attend quarterly sales meetings and any additional training, as required
Candidate must currently reside on Oahu
