The successful candidate applying for this position will have prior experience managing daily duties of a quality department ensuring that product quality and control procedures are met. The quality manager will also be responsible for test program and maintaining documentation for process. In addition to all of this, the candidate will act as a secondary management representative for ISO 9001:2008 program.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for this Quality Manager role will range from overseeing daily scheduling of work, hiring, training and payroll, to gathering, analyzing and reporting lab and process data for internal and external use.  Candidate will also direct test programs including planning, preparation, execution and communication to all required departments.

Familiar with this Equipment:

PC, calculator, Lab Equipment, thermocouples, scales, production equipment and various technical tools.

Manager will be conducting test meetings three times per week. Must also be able to support the continued compliance of ISO9001 standard which includes but is not limited to policy and procedure.

Candidate will direct  and conduct observation and analysis of work procedures to evaluate efficiency of process and quality products taking into account economics, operator effectiveness, physical and health conditions. Must also approve the release of product to customers in addition to overseeing customer/supplier complaint logs, analyze data and report findings.

Requirements Job Qualifications:

• Position demands a BS in Chemistry or similar technical degree from a four year college.
• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing or related industry
• Technical background and good people skills
• Strong personal motivation along with a attention to detail
• Interest in living in the area
• Understanding of quality controls and ISO auditing
