DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY:
 
 
Northwest Texas Healthcare System (NTHS), a 500 Bed Tertiary Care Academic Medical Center and Level-III Trauma Center is presently seeking candidates for the DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY position. Northwest Texas is located in Amarillo, the center of the Texas Panhandle, a 26-county area that is bordered by New Mexico and Oklahoma. NTHS offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in all medical specialties. Centers of excellence include Women’s Health, Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Trauma/Emergency Department, Mental Health and Cardiology.

As you may expect, the Pharmacy Department offers comprehensive pharmacy programs including research activities, a fully accredited residency program and 24 hour pharmacy services.  Additional information to be posted in the next few days. The annual budget is approximately $14 million.

Requirements The ideal candidate will have demonstrated administrative success with progressive academic or progressive acute care facilities and will need to exhibit characteristics vital to the hospitals dedication to complete patient care and expansion of broad based Clinical Pharmacy Services. He/She will need to have a background that complements Business, Clinical, Academic, Research and Information Systems.  Baseline education will consist of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm.D.  A Masters Degree and/or Residency training is also desirable but not required.
