Description
Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the patient’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
Encourage attending physicians to review treatment plans, record and sign their orders, progress notes, in accordance with established policies.
Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physician’s Order Form
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
Ensure that prescribed medication for one patient is not administers to another. Follow the five (5) rights of med pass.
Requirements
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in WV.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
