Job Description

This position’s purpose is to perform data analysis and system administration functions to support marketing department database technology operations.

  • Learn and maintain familiarity with marketing software systems.
  • Develop data processing protocols and documented procedures for marketing data collection, input, analysis, output and maintenance.
  • Assist with the administration of marketing software systems and databases:
    • Database administration
    • User account administration
    • Data backup and security
    • Workflow development and administration
    • Configuration
    • End user support
    • Data maintenance
    • System interconnectivity and data transactions
  • Assure compliance with all applicable CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Work with Kimball marketing specialists to support E-marketing campaigns, events and webinars.
  • Assist with the development of marketing content for electronic media.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Kimball Website.
  • Assist with building and segmenting mailing databases.
  • Assist with marketing software system implementation and deployment.
  • Provide data analysis reports and interpretations to supervisors and peers.


Requirements

Skills:

  • Data processing and database management
  • Advanced skills in SQL programming (complex SQL queries)
  • Basic SQL database administration
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (specifically, Access and Excel)


Required Experience

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • A minimum of three years of relevant data analysis and SQL writing experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a SQL specialist working in a corporate marketing environment.
  • A minimum of one year experience with SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • A minimum of one year designing and deploying SQL Server Reporting System custom reports.

* Any experience with the following should be well documented in your resume:

  • Direct experience with Deltek Vision software, or any other CRM software
  • Web development and website design and programming experience (specifically HTML and ASP.NET)
