Description

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) in Denver, CO is currently accepting applications for Lead Software Engineer/Architect. This is a lead position who managers technical staff and issues, project planning and estimating, status reporting, employee mentoring, performance management, development process, and contribution to strategic direction. Also provides specification guidance for developers and directly participates in the development and trouble shooting of critical applications.

Requirements The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field .  Strong Oracle applications experience required including PL/SQL and application data modeling.  Ability to design or modify Oracle application databases and structures. Significant engineering experience (multiple major releases) in the primary areas of an n-tier enterprise system, e.g. interface, domain logic and database layers. Also requires relevant work experience in several of the following: Java Server Faces (JSF), Facelets, JSP/Servlets, Java Web Services, CSS, AJAX, (JAX-WS, JAXB); designing and implementing service oriented architectures; developing Web services; leading a team of developers including scheduling and monitoring work, mentoring team members and project management. Also requires working knowledge of Java standards (such as J2E) used for implementation of enterprise software and experience with build and source control tools and processes (such as Maven and Subversion).
