Retail Clerk (Part-time)

We are currently looking for a qualified candidate to provide quality customer service while suggesting increased sales of our products. Sell bread, cake and additional products in a retail setting with a friendly attitude.

• Stock shelves with product from ankle to head level, rotating older product to the front and removing outdated product
• Open, close, store and operate cash register
• Service and wait on customers while using suggestive selling
• Clean store area, including: sweeping floors, mopping, cleaning windows, shelves, etc.
• Prepare reports (e.g., Settle Register, and Break Down Products)
• Move product in and out of back room and the store
• Bank deposit and retrieve change
• Follow all IBC Safety policies and procedures
• Schedule and manage part-time associates

• Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent

• Prior retail management experience

• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed

• You will need mathematical skills to handle cash, compute discounts, count inventory, and percentages. 

• Use a computer based cash register, and automated food stamp system

• Must read food expiration dates and sort product in a way to maximize sales and reduce waste.
• Must be capable of performing the physical requirements of the position:Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, reaching, etc. 

Schedule: working mostly nights and weekends (16-24 hours)

The candidate selected for this position will be required to pass a background check, physical and drug screen prior to employment.
