Responsibilities of Director of Finance and Accounting:

  • Oversee all aspects of finance and accounting across the organization. Manage and prepare the annual budget. Update forecasts and provide meaningful explanations for variances against prior forecast and budget. Contribute to business and operations planning, providing data, analysis, strategic thinking and operational expertise.
  • Prepare and oversee financial policies and procedures to insure internal controls are in place. Maintaining and designing appropriate accounting and finance procedures and systems, assuring that strong internal controls are in place and assures that the organization is legally in compliance.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Managers in the development and implementation of business and organizational strategy.
  • Manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports for submittal to board members on a monthly basis.
  • Provide and lead insight on margin improvement initiatives to increase business profitability, including detailed information on root causes as well as recommendations for improvement.
  • Take active role in developing business and pricing models.
  • Management of Strategic Roaming Partners

Director of Finance and Accounting

Requirements for Director of Finance and Accounting:

Abilities:

  • Excellent Leadership skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • A work style that is disciplined and organized but has the flexibility required to effectively adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret and present financial data to various audiences, including business general managers, senior staff, and board members.
  • Willingness to take initiative on projects and to play an active role in shaping the outcome.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and to think outside the box.

Education Required:

  • Four year degree, Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant

Experience Level Desired:
  • 7-10 years of Finance
  • 3 years (minimum) managing Accounting and/or Finance Department
  • Experience in the Service/Retail Industry
  • Working knowledge of Customer Billing System a plus
  • IT and Software experience desirable
