Description
Quality Insights of Delaware (QID), Delaware’s Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Medicare, is seeking professionals with health care project-implementation experience to facilitate the adoption, acquisition and implementation of Health Information Technology (HIT) in physicians’ offices throughout the state.
The Project Coordinators will be part of a dynamic, specialized team responsible for guiding physician practices through the decision-making process for adoption of HIT (Web-based technology, e-prescribing and/or transitioning to full Electronic Health Records). Accurately assessing practices for appropriate workflow and readiness, and providing expert guidance during the implementation phase, will be critical to these positions.
Qualified Project Coordinators must have followed one of these two degree and/or experience tracks: (1) Registered Nurse with clinical experience in primary care offices, as well as some experience implementing HIT in such settings, including practice management systems; or (2) Office Manager or office support staff (non-clinical) with direct experience integrating HIT into the physician practice setting.
While a BA/BS is strongly preferred, three to five years working with EMR/EHR in a physician office setting may be substituted for a degree. Experience with live EMR/EHR implementation in a physician’s practice would be a plus. Considerable in-state travel will be required. Successful candidates will receive extensive training.
Quality Insights of Delaware offers competitive salaries, excellent working conditions and an outstanding benefits package. Interested applicants may e-mail their resume and cover letter to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] or fax them to 304-347-8825 by November 25, 2009. For additional information about QID, visit our Web site at http://www.qide.org/. AA, EOE
