Tissue Recovery Specialist Leader

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, is responsible for recovering and distributing organ and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tissue Recovery Specialist to lead the tissue team in the recovery of tissue and bone (at various hospitals located in the GLDP service area as well as in our own recovery suites) and to ensure compliance with FDA, EBAA, AATB Guidelines and GLDP Standard Operating Procedures.

You will perform recoveries adhering to established protocols and procedures; monitor the performance of the recovery team; ensure policies and procedures are followed by the recovery team; coach and train team members when necessary; assist with the continued implementation and improvement of the blood borne pathogen, safety and quality assurance programs.

Associate degree in a related field of study plus three years directly applicable experience. Must obtain CTBS and CEBT upon completing one year of employment.

 
Must reside in either the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley area and must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds. You must be able to work regular overnight shifts and perform on-call duties on scheduled weekdays and every 3rd weekend.
