Description

 

To supervise the employees and processes of a production area to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed and production goals are met


Responsibilities/Duties

•Assist with staff management including documenting and communicating objectives, conducting performance appraisals as needed, and appropriately addressing individual or group performance issues
•Assist with assigning, training, and developing staff based on experience and departmental goals
•Assist with developing goals and objectives, and measuring outcomes to ensure goals are met
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Evaluate, recommend and implement changes to materials, equipment, tooling, products and processes
•Ensure that daily operations are safe and effective
•Daily monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Measurements
•Ensure that all team members are following proper work instructions and FDA requirements
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

Requirements

Required Skills

•Must be a team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Guide, direct, and motivate staff

Must have:
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•An understanding of Lean Principles

Preferred Skills

•Visual Factory skills (5S, Visual controls, etc.) preferred
•Value stream management expertise preferred
•Working knowledge of error-proofing and pull systems preferred
•Root cause analysis skills preferred

Required Experience

•At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
•At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role directing other employees
•Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)


Preferred Experience

•Experience supervising at least 3 employees in a manufacturing environment preferred


Required Education

•High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Education

•Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or an equivalent field preferred
