JOB TITLE: Systems Analyst/Database Programmer #2009-A017
Full Time (Based on 260 days)
LOCATION: ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
HIRING SALARY: Regionally Competitive
STARTING DATE: As Arranged

SUMMARY: Provides systems analysis and application programming services to the Business Services and Human Resources divisions for the purpose of design, implementation and ongoing development of application software to support the functions of those divisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Systems Analysis & Programming:
  • Provide technical analysis, software development and database management skills to support the use of Sungard IFAS Financial and Human Resources software suite.
  • Create software applications to support the Business Services and Human Resources divisions.
  • Work with functional area leads to define system deliverables and workflow processes.
  • Evaluates system modification request, makes recommendations.
  • Develop reports and perform SQL queries to support internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Integrate IFAS software with custom or third party software solutions where appropriate.
  • Work with end-users to develop and maintain custom reporting on IFAS data.
  • Software/Database Maintenance:
  • Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of IFAS software processes.
  • Monitor IFAS database to ensure integrity of data and transactions.
  • Configure and maintain user security and configuration settings.
  • Provide technical support to users for software packages used in the divisions.
  • Work with users and software manufacturer to resolve software issues.
Training and Documentation:
  • Leads, assists, and/or performs training during new installations, updates and staffing changes.
  • Assists and/or performs system administration in software updates.
  • Lead and/or assists users in utilization and implementation of software.
  • Assists in user documentation.
Hardware Maintenance: 
  • Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware including servers, printers, scanners and handheld devices.
  • Setup and maintain new equipment as needed. 
Acts as technical liaison with ISTS, CBOCES, and software vendors.

Requirements EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree with relevant major. Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years progressively responsible information systems work experience.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT: Must have proven abilities in systems analysis, programming, business systems, and project management. Must possess strong planning, leadership and communication skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Colorado Drivers License.
