Senior Water Resources Engineer

Responsibilities
Will manage FEMA floodplain mapping studies, and perform technical tasks related to this activity. Will carry out design on flood control projects and stormwater management projects.

Requirements
Qualifications
A bachelor in science degree with 7-10 years experience with flood plain mapping studies, flood control design, dam removal design, stream restoration and stormwater BMP design. Experience working on projects contracted by one or more of the following clients: US Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, State Water Agencies, and county / municipal governments. Illinois PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment required. Computer skills needed for the position include Hydraulic and Hydrologic Modeling Programs such as HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-RAS steady, HEC-RAS unsteady, HEC-HMS, HSPF, SWMM, and DAMBREAK. Experience with stream restoration, streambank stabilization, and stormwater BMP design. Sanitary Waste Treatment Facility Design and Pump Station Design. ArcGIS skills highly preferred.
