Industrial Design Instructor, Part-Time (Job code 13001)

Position Summary:
We are actively seeking TWO part-time instructors to teach in our Design Visualization program. The incumbents will provide career education through learner-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. These positions will report to the Industrial Design Department Director and are scheduled to be filled before the end of December 2009.
Requirements
Qualified applicants must be able to teach technical industrial design courses. Applicants will be proficient in 3dsMax.
One class is an upper division course focusing on modeling and rendering in 3dsMax
The other class works with the development of complex urban environments using 3dsMas, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and possibly Revit.
As part-time instructors, the incumbents will be responsible for teaching up to three classes per term. Duties beyond teaching may include assisting in departmental activities and participating in all-college functions, such as student advising, orientation, and faculty committees.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Two years experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution. Five years work relevant work experience required.
