Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nursing Director is responsible for planning, direction, administration, coordination and supervision of the twenty-four hour operation of patient care departments.  Together, they develop policies, and procedures, patient care standards, budgets and quality improvement programs that ensure compliance with all hospital service and regulatory agency standards and procedures.

• California Registered Nurse License
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in a health related program
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
• Approximately three to five years progressively more responsible related work experience.
• Interpersonal skills in order to provide effective leadership
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory, practice and administration in order to oversee planning and implementation of care and analytical skills necessary to prepare and analyze reports, policies and budgets
