. Mining Engineer New Iberia, LA Description
One of my clients is looking to fill the position of Mining Engineer mining facility located near New Iberia, Louisiana. This position will report to the Manager of Engineering with a dual reporting function to the Operations Manager. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with engineering, supporting operations through project financial analysis and modeling, developing and maintaining short and long term mining plans, developing ideas to improve profitability and productivity through cost saving and new opportunities, supporting Production and Maintenance Departments through development, initiation, and completion of efficiency enhancement related projects, mine equipment and process evaluation, production monitoring and measurement, monitoring underground ventilation and ground control; support Environmental Health and Safety Department with engineering/safety related projects.
The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering with 0-3 years of experience. Mechanical or Civil Engineers will be considered with applicable experience. Three to five years experience in an industrial environment and underground mining experience are a plus.
