ORGANIZATION: We are working with a Butler County manufacturing company to identify the successful candidate to fill the position of Accounting Manager.
POSITION: This is a project assignment, indefinite in length and salary is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include: • Work closely with the Director of Finance to manage the day to day financial operations of the company. • Manage 1 Staff Accountant who handles all accounts receivable work, labor reporting, and receiving. • Process and manage accounts payable processing including vendor invoices, vouchers, and processing of payable checks. • Work closely with Purchasing Manager to analyze and resolve variances related to accounts payable vouchers, purchase orders, and/or receivers. • Prepare bi-weekly payrolls, reconcile all payroll accounts, and process payroll tax filings. • Post all AR, AP, and Inventory modules of the ERP/MRP software system on a monthly basis. • Reconcile results of monthly posting of AR, AP, and Inventory modules of the ERP/MRP software system against the general ledger to ensure balances are correct. • Post monthly adjusting entries within ERP/MRP software system to prepare monthly financial reports. • Post monthly standard journal entry to prepare monthly financial reports. • Manage cash flow • Set up, verify, and process all monthly accruals to properly close month end and prepare financial reports. • Communicate effectively and professionally with personnel in Accounting, Sales, Engineering, and Plant personnel.
• Minimum B.S. Accounting Degree and 5-7 years of experience as an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, Plant Accountant, or Assistant Controller. • Strong understanding of GAAP related to general ledger, internal controls, auditing procedures, costing methodologies, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control, and financial reporting requirements. • Strong ERP/MRP computer accounting system background including all facets of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory, and both monthly and year-end processing of financial reports. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong planning and organizational skills. • Supervisory skills. • ISO quality control system training. • Understanding of ISO quality control system procedures and requirements. • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word software.
