Description
Executive Health Resources is in search of a qualified internist to serve as a Physician Advisor for its Retrospective Appeals department in a remote, part-time capacity.
The Physician Advisor is responsible for conducting thorough reviews of hospital medical records from claims previously denied payment by commercial payers, documenting the services provided, and formulating a concise summary of the case and an appeal argument based on the medical necessity of the care provided. This position is ideal for someone who wants to leverage his/her medical experience in a new way, work on his/her free time, and learn more about the payor-hospital relationship.

Requirements
- MD or DO - Medical licensure mandatory; Board Certification preferred
- 3+ years of post-residency, inpatient care experience required
- Strong clinical knowledge base
- Outstanding analytical and writing skills
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to work well independently
- Computer proficient
- Able to attend two week training session at EHR’s headquarter office in Newtown Square, PA
- Able to travel to EHR’s headquarter office in Newtown Square, PA to obtain weekly assignments
