Silvercrest Senior Living Community - Legacy Pointe
Certified Medication Aide / Nurses Aide / CMA
Legacy Senior Living Community is located in Iowa City, Iowa, and is easily accessible to shopping, hospitals, as well as the University of Iowa and medical services. The community includes 24 independent living apartments, 68 assisted living residences, and 40 Alzheimer's care apartments.
Our community is designed to provide a beautiful home for our residents, while offering the care and services needed to maintain an active, quality lifestyle. Our home-like atmosphere allows residents to enjoy the advantages of community living without compromising their individuality, dignity, or privacy.
We are currently seeking a Certified Medication Aide / Nurses Aide
- Assist in the development, updating, and execution of resident service plans.
- Monitor resident health, safety and well being.
- Encourage resident socialization and participate in coordinating resident activities.
- Administer medications accurately and on time as directed in service plan and MAR.
- Document medications administered and cares provided within our state-of-art (easy to learn) computerized charting system.
- Promote the lifestyle wellness program to the residents and chaperone activities.
- Assist residents with the activities of daily living – such as bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene and mobility.
- Assist with serving meals and bussing tables, as well as helping with resident laundry and daily bed making.
- Promote a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Complete required forms in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
- Have fun and maintain a cheerful, positive and upbeat demeanor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Certified medication training as outlined by State of Iowa.
- Skills in nurturing and organization and interest in working with older adults.
- Maturity, friendliness, and enjoyment in working with people.
- High school diploma or GED with reading, comprehension, and writing ability at 12th grade level or higher.
- Certified nursing assistant training via State of Iowa preferred; experience required.
