Senior Drilling Engineer

Description Senior Drilling Engineer responsible for executing and drilling program for the Marcellus Shale in Western Pennsylvania with one of the leading independent E & P natural gas producers with focuses on both unconventional and conventional assets in the Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent, Rocky Mountain and Appalachia basins.

Duties Include:
-Develop and design drilling programs, including casing, drill string/BHA, mud, cement, bit, directional components and prepare and write detailed drilling prognoses
-Effectively communicate with well supervisors on multiple rigs
-Prepare, submit and track AFE's for drilling
-Ensure daily reports are submitted on time and are accurate
-Strong desire to promote and ensure exemplary HS&E practices
-Always continue to develop and evaluate new methods for saving time and costs related to drilling programs
-Conduct post well analysis to determine areas for improvement
-Must interact and work well with completions and operations as well as land, service companies, rig contractors, state regulatory agencies etc.

Requirements Requirements:
-Minimum of 10-15 years of direct drilling experience in the lower 48 states, preferably with experience in tight gas formations
-Bachelors degree or above, preferably in Petroleum
-Strong tenure with previous companies
-A desire to part of a productive efficient team working as a mentor for younger less experienced engineers
