Description Service Group Inc. (SGI) is a national provider of contracted services for the Improvement District industry.  We provide Environmental Maintenance (enhanced outdoor cleaning), Supplemental Safety, Hospitality and minor landscaping services.

 
Our corporate office is located in Malvern, PA.

SGI is looking for a Supervisor to be responsible for our team of well-trained and professional "Ambassadors" who work in downtown Reading, PA.  Our employees are responsible for helping keep downtown Reading clean, safe and friendly.  They work in a fast paced environment and are expected to "meet and greet" pedestrians and others who live, work, and visit downtown Reading.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 
  1. Conduct briefings to ensure employees are aware of special events, conventions and other activities and events scheduled within downtown Reading.
  2. Conduct uniform and equipment inspections.
  3. Assign, supervise, verify and report outcomes of daily assignments and tasks.
  4. Ensure all forms and reports are completed and submitted prior to the end of the shift.
  5. Update schedules and assignments.
  6. Deliver training in accordance with SGI and customer established standards.

 
Requirements The successful applicant will:

 
1.  Be at least 18 years of age.
2.  Possess a valid state driver's license.
3.  Possess a High School diploma or GED certificate.
4.  Have a life style free of criminal convictions.
5.  Have a demonstrated solid work ethic and history.

 
The successful applicant must successfully pass a thorough background screening process that includes a Social Security Number Trace, Motor Vehicle and Driver's License check, county and national criminal records check, and a drug screen.

 
COMPENSATION PACKAGE

 
SGI offers a competitive compensation package for this position, which includes the following:

 
  1. Starting hourly pay rate of $11.25 with scheduled annual increases based on performance
  2. Medical and Dental Insurance (80% employee only after 90 days)
  3. Holiday Benefit Pay (after 90 days)
