General Manager, Pharmacy--Denver, CO

We seek a General Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This manager must ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all local, state, federal and accreting rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy, as well as company ethics, policies and procedures. The General Manager oversees pharmacy purchasing, pre-packing procedures, inventory management and reconciliations and ensures operations are within pharmacy budget and monitors expenses and overtime.

This person will work with all staff to develop the expectations and measurements to maintain operational standards, and motivate staff to complete job consistently with accuracy and speed. This professional will also provide excellent customer service to all external and internal customers and inspire staff to maintain continuous quality improvement and support of company initiatives/goals. In addition, the General Manager also manages the physical building needs and requirements. The General Manager may be paged 24 hour on-call for emergency situations.

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) required. Prior experience in Pharmacy or closely related field highly desired. Minimum 3 years of pharmacy management experience or equivalent leadership education preferred. Long term care and geriatric experience preferred. Working knowledge of all government regulations impacting upon pharmacy required.

Ability to operate within the organization’s procedures and standards of the health care industry. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clients.
