The following position is located in Toppenish, WA.
Are you looking for an opportunity to put into practice your accounting talents with a mission-driven non-profit organization? If so, this may be the opportunity you were waiting for! We currently have an opening for an Accountant with grant and/or auditing experience. This individual will monitor and report on corporate grants and supervise staff. This person will work with external auditors, oversee the GL, implement internal controls, and perform internal audits to ensure compliance with Federal, State and grantor regulations. Modest relocation assistance available.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or other College degree with three to four years relevant experience.
Experience: A minimum of four year of proven experience, relevant to the responsibilities described below and extensive knowledge of computer and accounting and spreadsheet software required.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: None.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Ability to prioritize tasks and prepare work schedules in conjunction with co-workers and deadlines; ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; ability to use standard office machines; ability to maintain accurate and legible records; ability to prepare reports using moderate to complex arithmetic computations and computer spreadsheets; good organizational skills; and the ability to function independently.
