Summary: Sells financial products and services to clients for investment purposes by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Identifies potential clients using advertising campaigns, mailing lists, and personal contacts.

Solicits business from potential clients.

Interviews clients to determine financial position, resources, assets available to invest, and financial goals.

Provides clients with information and advice on purchase or sale of securities, financial services, and investment plans.

Opens and services new accounts.

Completes sales and routes documents for processing.

Reads status reports and performs calculations to monitor client accounts and verify transactions.

Develops and implements financial plans, and sells insurance and securities products.

Build long-term relationships with clients.

Maneuvers and manages databases and resources on computer.

Conducts offline or online research to resolve customer problems.

Assures area is in compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.

Competency:

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED and 2 years experience and/or training.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
