Description Princeton Information is seeking Wintel Administrators for contract opportunities in the Tampa Bay area.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Wintel server builds, receiving servers from in-house order fulfillment system, coordinating rack/stack of servers in data center, loading the operating system, building of file systems, loading standard monitoring and backup packages. Additional responsibilities include work with Audit/Compliance teams to install and maintain security updates and patches.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 5+ years hands-on experience supporting Windows 2000
  • 5+ years hands-on experience supporting Windows 2003
  • 1-3 years working knowledge of Clustering and IIS
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodology
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

    PREFERRED SKILLS
    The candidate should have strong skills in at least one of the following bulletpoints and knowledge of the others.
  • Understanding of SQL Server 2005/2008 database installation and design
  • Strong knowledge of File system / Volume Management software
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • A solid understanding and working experience in Windows based directory systems such as Active Directory and LDAP
  • Patch and Package management, Windows 2000/2003, ESX 3.5
  • Experience supporting HP or equivalent Intel/AMD based servers
  • Experience in small to large scale system projects including full development life cycle and structured troubleshooting analysis skills
  • A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layout
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
