Pharmacy Manager, Long Term Care Pharmacy -Philadelphia

Description We are a leader in Long Term Care Pharmacy seeking a Pharmacy Manager for the Pittsburgh area.  This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of daily operations in the Pharmacy.  Position functions as a "working" supervisor, providing professional pharmaceutical care to patients to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes and proper education.  Work also includes evaluating department effectiveness, ensuring optimum staffing levels, supervising the work of staff, addressing performance management issues and assisting employees in performing all technical/clinical department activities.
 
Essential duties and clinical responsibilities include: 
Management of day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all local, state, federal and accrediting rules and regulations, work with all staff to develop the expectations and measurements to maintain operational standards, supervise professional staff relevant to proper dispensing techniques, and checks medications dispensed, schedule professional staff to ensure adequate coverage for all dispensing functions, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements Bachelor's degree (BS) in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required.
Minimum 3 years of pharmacy management experience or equivalent leadership training/education preferred.
Current licensure to practice in the state of Pennsylvania in good standing required. 
Long term care and geriatric experience strongly preferred. 
Working knowledge of all government regulations impacting pharmacy required.
