Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Research ScientistReporting to the Group Leader Process Quality Improvement, this person will lead the manufacturing quality activities and support key customers with strategic quality initiatives.  The primary goal is to develop and implement quality assurance programs and lead support process improvement efforts in the manufacturing facility.  This role requires a self-starter, capable of implementing and leading strategic initiatives while providing proactive solutions for quality improvements and cost savings.The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to…

• Ensure proper quality controls are in place to prevent defects.
• Lead root cause investigation and implementation of Capes.
• Manage and communicate Manufacturing Quality Performance Metrics.
• Support new product development efforts through Quality Planning activities.

The accomplished individual will possess…

• Minimum of 3 years demonstrated professional experience in the application of quality sciences, quality engineering, and/or manufacturing engineering.
• Leading investigative teams to determine root cause and implement process improvement plans.
• Strong knowledge of Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement Tools; Six Sigma, Control Plans, FMEA, Process Capability, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication & interpersonal skills. 
• This position will require a strong quality discipline background and leadership.
• Risk management and mitigation.

The strong professional will have the following academic credentials/certifications….

• BS or MS  in a related science discipline or have equivalent demonstrated experience in a similar role
• ASQ certification or COE
