PLC Programming and Maintenance Technician Sought

For 60 years, Kelly Services has provided outstanding employment opportunities, including temporary, direct hire, and temporary-to-hire, to the most talented individuals in the marketplace. Today, we are proud to offer a PLC programming and Maintenance Technician position in Hillsboro, Oregon with a leading manufacturing company with cutting edge products. This is currently slated as a direct hire position but on a case by case basis has the possibility of being temp to hire.

In this role, we need talent to:
' Perform preventative and on the spot maintenance and repair of PLC and Robotic equipment. Duties also include essential programming experience
' Monitor assigned operations to assure compliance with current project schedules and documentation of all equipment logs
' Ensure compliance with government regulations
' Recommend modifications in products or quality standards, where warranted

Experience:

Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements include:
' Years of experience in Preventative Maintenance and importantly Programming of PLC equipment
' Extensive PLC programming experience; Multiple PLC flavors accepted. Best matches will be Allen Bradley, Siemens etc. but other PLC experience considered on a case by case basis with our recruiters
' Robotic programming and preventative maintenance will be a major plus to set an applicant apart
' Strong electrical trouble shooting skills
' Documentation and hand off experience
' Training experience
' Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing principles
' Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people in all manufacturing roles
' Excellent leadership and organizational skills

Required education, experience, and qualifications include:
' 2 year Associates Degree in a Technical Field - electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, or related field
' Mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting skills
' Familiarity with robotics ' nice to have
' Three to five years of professional engineering experience
