Billing Representative -Long Term Care Pharmacy

Description Cycle bill all facilities (Crosstrained as a back up)
Intake and process new admit billing information.
Run new admit report; bill and test claims
Check in all new admit files, verify insurance, verify address and ensure all admit information is correct.
File electronic records - Docutrack
Assist with preparing monthly spreadsheets, prepare bills and letters , bill insurance for all claims that did not adjudicate when first put through. Research and solve billing errors and questions.
Assist with past due notices.
Participate in training of co-workers
Process credits for insurance refills, tech errors, etc.
Obtain and process weekly change to daily census report
Assist with calls to facilities for collections.
Research prescriptions, misc charges and accounts receivable histories.
Provide excellent customer service to all external and internal customers.
Adheres to all SeniorMed LLC ethics, policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); certified pharmacy technician preferred; minimum 1-2 years medical billing experience required; pharmacy billing experience preferred.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.  Position requires strong attention to detail; good data entry skills; proficiency in using various computer software required. Prefer LTC Pharmacy billing experience
