Kelly Healthcare is seeking a well rounded RN who will be observing and assessing the worker's health status with respect to job tasks and hazards. Using his/her specialized experience and education, the individual will recognize and prevent health effects from hazardous exposures and treat workers' injuries/illnesses.
Responsibilities: ' Manage health care surveillance at the Plant and work with Houston Medical Occupational Health Department (MOH) ' Oversee the health of employees on STD, LTD, and Worker's Compensation. May visit doctor with injured employees ' Counsel and support the management team with employee health issues ' Interpret, explain, and administer medical policies and procedures. ' Participate on ERT, Ergonomics, and SHE Committees as well as administer OIMS 5.2 program ' Update Hearing Conservation, Respiratory, Heat Stress, and Bloodbourne Pathogens Tracess Training Modules annually ' Participate in special safety projects as assigned ' Performs other assigned duties as required
Requirements: Education: ' Associate degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing ' Registered RN in the State of Florida ' Board Certification in Occupational Health-COHN-S ' Certification from the Counsel for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) Experience: ' 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing facility as an RN ' Experience as either emergency room or intensive care unit nurse desirable Skills: ' Understanding of Manufacturing and Health Care ' Autonomous- Can operate independently, is motivated, and takes initiative ' Communication skills ' Analytical/Problem-solving skills ' Ability to work as part of a team ' Flexibility/Openness to change and diversity ' Innovation ' Decision-making skills ' Knowledge in the use of a computer and the software applications relevant to this position
