PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY This position is accountable for executing driving, dispatching, repair and service technician duties in respiratory and/or rehab operations.
SCOPE This is an entry-level position and takes direction from Supervisors or Lead Distribution Associates.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to a Distribution Supervisor or a Branch Manager, and does not have any direct reports responsibility.
WORKING CONDITIONS In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities. Distribution Associates work in warehouse and outdoor environment. Those in the field will experience frequent changes in temperature due to driving and patient visits. Both in house and home care associates must be able to carry 75 lbs regularly. Must be able to bend, stoop and climb stairs regularly. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Fine motor skills needed for driving, set up and operation of equipment, and using a hand held computer system.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. General: Responsible for the ordering, receiving, assembly and delivery of medical equipment, Participates in 24 hr/day 7 days per week on call rotation, as needed, Manages scheduled delivery file, Manages PAID dispatch activity, as needed, Completion of daily/weekly trip reports.
2. Technical: Performs repairs, maintenance and performance testing on equipment, Assists with seating and mobility evaluations as needed, Instructs patients, family and caregivers on the proper use of delivered equipment, Report patient changes and concerns to Supervisor and/or Homecare Consultants.
3. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 1 year experience in Distribution and a valid Drivers License is required. DME or homecare experience is preferred. A valid CDL with Hazardous Material Certification is preferred.
