Southern Auto Finance Company – SAFCo – is seeking a well organized, self-motivated individual who is able to work in a fast paced environment at our Ft. Lauderdale, Florida corporate office. This key position is responsible for performing the daily activities of general accounting functions, including developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures and policies, as well as completing and ensuring accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and financial statements. The Corporate Accounting Manager must have excellent technology skills including MS Excel and MS Dynamics (Solomon) GL, as well as a thorough knowledge of generally accepted ac-counting principles (GAAP). They will also supervise Accounts Payable and General Ac-counting team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following skill set:
• Daily Cash balancing between GL and the Bank
• Daily maintenance of the GL-Paradata interface
• Review of the Daily cash report
• Prepare the annual budget and periodic updates
• Analyze Actual to Budget variances
• Prepare various account reconciliations
• Ad Hoc accounting analyses for senior leadership
• Prepare monthly operating financial review with senior leadership
• Work with external and internal auditors in preparation of reports and audits
• Orchestrate month end closing process with all departments and accounting systems
• Maintenance of Fixed Assets schedules
• Preparation of debt compliance reports for banks
• Bank reconciliations
• GL postings
A BS degree in Accounting is required and a CPA is preferred. Qualified candidates please e-mail resumes (along with professional references and salary history).
