The Institute for Aging Research in Boston, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, is one of the most prestigious aging research facilities in the country. HSL's NewBridge on the Charles, our premier multigenerational continuing care retirement community in Dedham, consists of 256 independent living units, 50 assisted living units, 41 memory support assisted living units, and a 268-bed Health Care Center, which offers long-term and sub-acute care. Hebrew SeniorLife also offers services to the community, including Adult Day Health programs and outpatient clinics in audiology, exercise, memory disorders, osteoporosis screening, and rehabilitation.


Responsibilities: Supervise the general operations of all nursing units in the absence of the Operations Leader. Assume administrative responsibilities for the Center in the absence of executive administrative personnel. In addition, demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and goals of the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife and recognize members' dignity and choice in aspects of daily life. Work with team to meet all needs of the member and the assisted living facility by actively participating in activities, work and the social environment. Strive to make every encounter with a member into a positive and meaningful experience and opportunity, while providing safe and efficient quality of care.
Qualifications: -Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required -Current Massachusetts license as an R.N., required -Bachelor's degree in Nursing and ANA Certifications in Geriatrics and/or Nursing Administration preferred -Minimum of three to five years of experience in a similar setting, required. Supervisory and acute care experience recommended. -Must be professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented individual. -Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor, excellent oral and written communication skills, good intuition and able to adapt to changing priorities and display good, sound judgment with a sense of humor. -Superb organizational skills. Must have solid analytical skills. Must be creative and proactive yet disciplined, discriminating and able to streamline work volume in order to maintain bottom line efforts in midst of multi-tasking and daily re-prioritizing. -Must have ability to innovate, think strategically and conceptually, manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle even difficult situations.
