Job Responsibilities:
PURPOSE / SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for managing material control systems and procedures which
supply in-house fabricated parts to meet the needs of assembly operations and inventory
investment goals. Performs production and inventory control duties, including system
support, and maintenance and audits of systems and procedures which are consistent with
maximum operating efficiency and departmental goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
� Reviews and controls manufactured parts by utilizing the material control system. Maintains material system by updating cards, quantities and locations of materials and parts.
� Utilizes marketing and demand forecasts to determine and schedule optimal production of assigned materials.
� Processes records for Special Order Items and coordinates the manufacture of those orders for customer delivery, Order Only and direct ship items.
� Coordinates with manufacturing facilitators to ensure the availability of materials and the maintenance of production schedules necessary to meet customer satisfaction requirements.
� Utilizes a material control system to audit and modify as required; device and component safety stock levels, lead times, economic order quanititys, and group floor stock content and levels to ensure they correlate with current conditions.
� Aids in the corrdination of the delisting of parts as well as coordinates the introduction of new parts and recalls parts in excess to be modified into products with higher sales.
Education Required: College; Experience Required: 0-3 years; Supervision Required: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
Other specifics about the job:
Analyze, calculate and implement KANBAN parameters for components (~2000 parts)
Make daily Kanban adjustments based on deep root cause analysis and part new trends
Daily follow up of the OTD to customer
Communicate forecast to suppliers once a month
Lead calls with France and China suppliers to review delivery issues, forecast, etc.
Owner of their OTD # (ISSR), therefore check open orders/past due orders reports to prevent shortages-excess parts
Manage and place special orders for LOQ from customers� Work this specials with supplier�
Follow up supplier quality issues (with support from SQE)
Owner of inventory $ value� Balance inventory avoiding shortages and excess parts (current ~$6Million USD)
Seek for optimum lot sizes and LT opportunities in order to reduce our inventories and be in alignment with the ABC standards
Support-Lead productivity projects for inbound transportation (Sea freight)
