Business Analyst Sr

Description Position Purpose: Participates in the requirements development for applying business needs to technical applications.Employee may be involved with various aspects of the requirements design process. May define and document internal and external user interfaces and support system and data requirement clarification and definition. They may support prototyping activities that will validate business requirements, solution definition and minimize risk. Employee works directly with team members from business sectors and the applications development team. May assist in quality assurance and defining testing strategy and risks

Requirements Education Experience: BS and 4 + years or equivalent

BUSINESS OBJECTS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Capabilities

Knowledge of the system requirements definition processes and modeling methods and tools

Knowledge of conceptual and logical modeling

Ability to support prototyping activities that will validate business requirements and solution definition

Ability to apply general organizational knowledge of the business and systems processes problem analysis

Experience:

Financial industry a plus
Origination or servicing system experiences a plus
Competent to consider most business implications in the application of technology to the current business environment
Knowledge and use of data warehouse systems, database development (Oracle, SQL) and Reporting (Cognos, Business Objects)
Experience in gathering of business data requirements, creating documentation of data reporting requirements, and, the presentation and walk-through of data models with business units
Experience in universe designs and implementations, using multiple linked universes accessing multiple fact tables with shared dimensions
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to independently work and prioritize multiple projects with accuracy
build complex Business Objects reports from business requirement documents.
Provide production support of existing system as needed including analyzing, designing, estimating, documenting, coding, testing, and deploying changes to the production environment.
Must be self motivated, independent, and a quick learner
