BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB

 

The objective of this job-role is to increase IUS’s profits and competitiveness by way of applying special costing programs on specific Sales opportunities as often as possible. Execution is derived from a combination of daily tasks and long-term strategic initiatives.

Execution is derived from a combination of daily tasks and long-term strategic initiatives.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

 

-                           Driving the creation and implementation of comprehensive bid programs

-                           Developing and maintaining internal relationships with key Buyer, Product Mgmt, Accounting and Sales resources;

-                           Developing and maintaining external relationships with key Partners and Suppliers to drive product costs down

-                           Assisting management to implement automated efficiencies



 



 



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

Candidate should bring an understanding of negotiation, inter-departmental business processes and policies, a willingness to cooperate in a team environment, and a desire to grow professionally. Sales experience is a plus. Moreover, he/she should be proficient in Excel.

  

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS



Education and/or Experience:

College degree or work related experience, preferably in a high technology related field.

Supervision Received:

Receives some direct supervision on a daily basis.

 

 

TRAINING

 

Person Responsible for Training

Director Profitability will be responsible for training.  Beyond this, Sales training, external seminars as well as significant on-the-job training through interaction with other Bid personnel, manufacturers and other departments.
