Operations Supervisor

• Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported nonusable, slow moving, and excess stock
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
• Issues written and oral instructions
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and ISO 9002 procedures
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
• Ensures effective employee relations among workers and resolves grievances
• Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates
• Adjusts errors and complaints
• Assists in maintaining the physical properties of the warehouse
• Trains employees on all aspects of their job within operation
• Submit, weekly, monthly and other special services billing to customer services representatives
• Prepare work schedules and react quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs
• Assists with other tasks as needed
• Directly supervises employees in operations
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION.  WORK WEEK IS SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY:  3:00PM - MIDNIGHT.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years related experience and/or training
• High volume OEM parts environment experience
• Automotive / Construction equip parts exposure / experience.  
• QA experience (part is good for resell, requires re-work, no good).
• Experience reading cad drawings and comparisons of those drawings to physical part to identify match / no match.
•  Impeccable organization.
•  System savvy (WMS, Microsoft suite).
• Inventory control experience.
• Multi task capable.
• Good follow up skills.
• Customer interaction (mid level; written and verbal).
• P&L management, forecasting & strategic business planning, expense control & margin improvement, and methodology development & process improvement knowledge
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public

• Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to delegate responsibility

STARTING SALARY RANGE IS $37,000 -$47,000.  CANDIDATES EXPRESSING A SALARY DESIRE OF MORE THAN $47,000 WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.  ALL PRE-SCREEN QUESTIONS MUST BE ANSWERED FOR CONSIDERATION.
