Role Summary/Purpose
The Electronic Test Equipment Engineer will provide the design and development of test equipment systems, test equipment documentation, test procedures and training for the test equipment in support of commercial and military aircraft applications. In this role your Hardware and software designs must meet the required commercial and military specifications for certification and qualification.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Ability to perform detailed test system design, simulation, troubleshooting and test.
  • Ability to organize and clarify technical requirements, develop support documentation and support development and field testing of commercial and military aircraft components.
  • Lead the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Current in regard to aerospace test equipment capabilities to support current design and customer requirements.
  • Anticipate resource skill needs on assigned projects, and work with program managers and subsection managers to fill needs.
  • Support engineering NPI checklists on assigned projects.
  • Support bid and proposal estimates using work breakdown structure methodologies to estimate the labor and material.
  • Recommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, scheduling, and contract commitments
  • Ability to provide technical training for test equipment for our customers, both internal and external
  • Provide technical leadership to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
  • Lead Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Support customer and supplier meetings with program manager, which include preparation of presentation material for design reviews and technical information status reviews.

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • BSEE from an accredited university or college (or a ASEE with at least 5 years directly applicable test equipment engineering experience)
  • At least 3 additional years of experience in engineering
  • This position requires access to controlled technology. To abide by Export Compliance regulations candidates must have either US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Alien Status.

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Previous experience in the design of test equipment for Aerospace Power Systems
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with customers and suppliers on technical requirements and designs
  • Strong process orientation in approach to work
  • Project management and team organization experience
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and create cohesive groups
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Experience with MS Office and ACAD software
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs and work aboard US Aircraft Carriers in constrained quarters
