Provides leadership to the Quality Management (QM) Department to ensure that the activities of the department will optimize quality patient care and maintain our compliance with regulatory agencies, CHRISTUS HEALTH and Spohn mandates. The QM Director controls the implementation, planning and outcomes of the patient safety committee, nursing quality, CMS -JCAHO-Regulatory mandates, components of the physician Peer review process, infection control and a variety of levels of risk management activities for the Shoreline facility. The QM Director is expected to collaborate and communicate regularly with facility leadership, staff and medical staff members regarding activities and improvement opportunities. The QM Director provides strategic planning, coordination, collaboration, development and implementation of the Quality Management processes. The Quality director must collaborate closely with the Case management department to avoid duplication and silo activities as with all other departments and representatives of Shoreline, and Spohn facilities to provide quality patient outcomes. The QM Director provides essential leadership and administrative support to the department members; facilitates the ongoing achievement of the system and facility mission and goals; promotes the development and improvement of processes directed at providing quality patient care and economical healthcare services.CHRISTUS Health is committed to providing meaningful benefits for you and your family and to sharing with you the prosperity you help create.   • Requirements Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Texas preferred, or equivalent clinical experience. Master’s Degree or in progress preferred.Quality Management Certification preferred. Five years experience and an in-depth understanding of quality management and processes. Experience in budgeting, strategic planning, team building, and leadership. Experience in statistical analysis and construction of reporting systems preferred. Five years of successful management experience. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and be innovative in the change process; strong human relations skills with an ability to handle difficult/sensitive issues with regard to patient confidentiality; excellent written/oral communication skills
