We have an immediate need for a Field Electrical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Great opportunity for a direct position for a Field Electrical Engineer with one of our clients in sunny Florida! This Field Electrical Engineer will supervise testing and installation of power quality improvement and electrical consumption optimization equipment. Will be involved in assessment of building plant rooms and electrical power supply and distribution for large commercial and industrial buildings and the documentation of electrical systems on-site surveys comparing current status with P&ID data. Will be involved with planning and project management of the installation of energy reduction solutions for major building power consuming equipment including HVAC, elevators, escalators, electrical distribution panels, etc. Will interface with client technical and commercial personnel, and supervision and training of electricians and engineering teams.
This position will require travel up to 80% of the time within the US. The location for this candidate will be flexible, ideally based in the mid Atlantic region near a major airport.
Qualified candidates will have a BSEE along with a minimum of ten years relevant experience. PE is desirable, but is not required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Also must be proficient in MS Office Suite, Visio, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
Specific required experience includes the following: power quality improvement including power factor correction, installation, and operation; electrical power systems installation for commercial and industrial buildings; electrical power installation and maintenance of medium and low voltage applications; practical understanding of electrical safety systems in commercial and industrial buildings; background in disciplines such as building electrical energy distribution, transmission, control devices, energy management systems; and working knowledge of generators, transformers, electric meters.
