Position Description

Responsibilities include developing, implementing and/or maintaining one or a combination of general accounting systems. Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Balances books periodically and prepares profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements. Maintains receipts and disbursement reports. May prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns. May interpret reports and records for managers.

The Tax Accounting Analyst is responsible for evaluation and implementation of Controls related to taxes. The Tax Accounting Analyst will act as a Liaison to the Sales team for any tax related issues or questions. They will coordinate business unit support of tax audits with the Corporate Tax Department and will develop preventive actions to reduce audit risk for future examination periods. This position will establish and conduct audits and reviews of controls and implement corrective actions to address any deficiencies noted. This position will also be responsible for conducting tax account reconciliations and preparing tax related journal entries.

Minimum Requirements

5+ years accounting experience

Computer Software knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and Access.

Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organization skills.

Ability to work independently and take initiative, set priorities and see projects through completion.

Education

4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience (Bachelor¿s Degree in Accounting or Business preferred)

Certified Public Accountant or CPA candidate
