Corporate Marketing is responsible for development and implementation of new products and services, and strategic expansion of distribution for MetroPCS. This position will be primarily responsible for placing MetroPCS in national retail accounts including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, etc. Expansion of MetroPCS distribution is vital to its success.
Responsibilities may also include championing the development of the pay-by-the-day rate plan within MetroPCS, the development of a new pre-paid card product offering, interfacing daily with the accounts, implementing payment solutions, and managing an acceptable return policy in each national account.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a robust National retailer indirect distribution plan to sell, service and take payments for MetroPCS customers and execute to secure the maximum possible retail coverage within company guidelines.
- Negotiate contract with National Retail accounts for handset sales including price, MDF terms, ordering, shipping, and return guidelines, and accessories when needed.
- Deploying a new pay-by-the-day rate plan to compete with traditional pre-paid in the national account channel.
- Developing a payment strategy and deploying it into the National Accounts. Select and work with a payment vendor to facilitate this area.
- Coordinating logistics for POPs including dummy handsets and training in each National account.
- Developing an effective national account MDF strategy for MetroPCS.
- Work with company indirect departments in each MetroPCS market to insure training and support is meeting the needs of the account.
- Provide leadership and monitoring of national retail team assigned to department.
Additional Duties:
- Visit prospects and Accounts on a regular basis to fortify relationship and position our product for maximum exposure to increase sales.
- Work with MetroPCS indirect sales teams to insure goals are aligned.
- Internal champion for National Account agenda and the pay-by-the-day rate plan.
- Analyze national account customer returns for compliance.
- Interface with payment vendors as needed to insure payments are handled to the account's satisfaction.
- All other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Education/Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience/education
- 10 years previous marketing/sales experience in the wireless telecommunications and/or consumer electronics industry, including previous experience interfacing with national accounts and 5 years experience in a leadership capacity
- Knowledge of pre-paid wireless business
Minimum Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Strong vendor management skills to drive expected results from National Accounts
- Strong knowledge of MetroPCS products and services
- Articulate presentation skills with attention to detail
