UNIX Systems Administrator

Description Classification: Contract to Full Time

Compensation: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour

Our client is seeking a UNIX Systems Administrator to provide system administration, installation and tuning for mission critical UNIX and Linux systems deployed for high availability in secure environments. The position requires planning and innovation. The qualified individual must be able to research, recommend and implement new and cost effective technology options in production environments while still maintaining support levels.

Requirements A minimum of 5+ years experience with UNIX administration.The required skills are UNIX and Linux administration and tuning, Shell scripting, Text Processing ,UNIX hardware configuration and clustering and UNIX system hardening. Preferred skills are Sun Solaris, ETL Tools, and Networking. 24x7 environment and on-call experience.
