This position assists in all procedures performed in the invasive and non- invasive cardiology area. Specializes in the monitoring of physiologic data received during cardiac catherization. Requirements A.EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school with a degree, registration or certification in an Allied Health field is preferred.

B.EXPERIENCE:
1.One year experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist is required.
2.Cardiac Cath Lab experience is preferred.

C.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

1.Must be certified in cardiovascular technology or cardiovascular/interventional technology or obtain certification within 2 ½ (30 months) years of hire.
2.CPR is required.
3.ACLS is required

D.EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:
1.Ability to operate office machines/equipment as well as non-radiation medical/diagnostic machines/equipment.
2.Excellent verbal and written skills.
3.Ability to manage a sometimes-chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic and complex disease processes.
4.Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
5.May be asked to work overtime with little or no notice.
6.May be asked to be available for on-call/stand-by duties.

E.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on a smooth, hard surface and/or carpeted floor.
2.May require prolonged periods of sitting at a computer terminal.
3.Requires full range of body motion including turning, stooping, squatting and stretching.
4.Requires reaching to heights of seven feet and bending from the waist. and irregular working hours.
5.Requires manual and finger dexterity and ability to lift, grasp, hold, move or position equipment.
6.Requires pushing and pulling up to 200 pounds which may include empty/occupied beds and stretchers.
7.Exposure to blood and body fluids and communicable disease as well as exposure to various chemicals and high doses of radiation is possible.


F.OTHER: Must successfully complete the pre-employment/post job offer health screening and the annual screening each year thereafter as an associate.
