Web Designer

Center Valley, PA - The Web Designer will help design and deliver highly innovative and creative solutions for strategically driven, interactive projects for our consumer electronics, healthcare, and life science divisions. The incumbent will collaborate with team members and other internal stakeholders to visually convey the Olympus brand and marketing messages. EOE M/F/D/V

* Design creative web content for review and approval from key business stakeholders while meeting strict deadlines.

* Design a variety of materials including, but not limited to, web pages and websites (including site navigation), online banner ads, marketing email, email newsletters, online forms, logos, icons, and online slideshows.

* Work as an integral member of the creative team to design content that supports the Olympus brand and matches the department's creative and strategic goals.

* Consult with peers and business stakeholders on project design requirements and/or deadlines. Collaborate with team members during project and production meetings.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

* A Bachelor's degree in a design-related field or equivalent knowledge is required.

* A minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience designing for the web.

* Must have comprehensive and functional knowledge of current web-design trends and tactics, and a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design methodology.

* Advanced Knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Flash, and of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.

* Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.

 * Knowledge and demonstrated design experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, mobile devices, etc.)

* Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills are essential.

* Must have flawless attention to detail.

* The ability to work on a team and independently is necessary.

* Occasional travel (up to 10%) for photo shoots, Olympus-sponsored events, and industry-related meetings is required.

* Applicants will be required to provide a portfolio of their design work.
